I wrote a recipe for Yahoo last year for Pancake Day, using a sour dough starter. It made a lighter, and slightly more tangy, version of my normal pancakes.
I can never get over how round my pancakes were. And they were delicious too.
Unfortunately, with all the travelling I did last year, the sour dough starter is now long gone. It wasn’t really economical in terms of time and flour as I was finding that I was constantly “regenerating” my starter rather than being able to just use it.
Anyhow, if you have a sour dough starter that’s alive and well, give this sourdough pancake recipe a go.
