I went to the dessert bar at Jason Atherton’s Pollen Street Social almost on a whim. I had just had dinner at Rules and fancied something different for desserts.

Luckily, the dessert bar is open for just desserts – and you can order just the one.

But even though it came with just the one dessert, they were happy to serve up a pre-desesert and make me feel totally at home. Oh yes, and it was a really good dessert.

It’s not the cheapest dessert option in London but it’s certainly one of the best.
