Oyster platter, Catch by Simonis, The Hague

Catch by Simonis, The Hague, lunch

Menu from a lunch at Catch by Simonis in The Hague, with dishes split into tasting portions:

Gazpacho

Oyster platter

Peeled prawns, fried Spanish style

Grilled sardines

Tuna nigiri

Wagyu carpaccio

Grilled squid

Pan-fried monkfish

Pan-fried seabass

Beef steak with ratatouille

I stopped by Catch by Simonis after a cycling tour around The Hague. The menu was sizeable so we had an eclectic selection of dishes. And eclectic is the operative words because the menu has multiple influences, including Japanese and Spanish.

The seafood was wonderfully fresh, as you can imagine, and they have an impressive stand of the day’s catch at the door.
