La Bergerie at Château de Lastours dinner

Menu from a dinner at La Bergerie, the restaurant at Château de Lastours in AOC Corbières, Languedoc-Roussillon:

Foie gras with brioche and fig jam

Tuna ceviche with aubergine and sorbet

Roasted cod with Jerusalem artichoke, parsnips and beetroot

Apple croustillant, citric jus and vanilla ice cream

Château de Lastours felt unfinished when I visited. Their restaurant was completely empty when I went for dinner.

The food was creative, though a little hit and miss bot in terms of the execution and in terms of the flavour. In comparison to the wines we enjoyed, it felt like a bit of a let down.
